Translating for Trees

In my current series Translating For Trees I use a healing pareidolia art technique. I enhance the wood grain to reveal messages from trees. Translating For Trees is a collaboration with Mother Nature. I believe trees have souls and record information while they are growing. I also believe trees, nature and spirits have something to say. This series examines important messages in wood grain. I enhance these narratives with paint, essentially reading letters from the eARTh. I am a creative channel to help tell their stories. My goal is to use my gift to give back. At this point in my life I feel it’s my purpose to spread healing with a Pareidolia Art Therapy class. Read why I feel this is my purpose here.

Ethereal My newest piece Ethereal is a depiction of my harrowing journey through healing and not apologizing or hiding my trauma. It is a representation of my experience of when my mom went missing 3 years ago. Read more at the link listed here.	The Elephants Revenge This piece signifies an elephant getting revenge. We all know the atrocities they go through. Having their tusks removed by spineless men. This represents an elephant getting his revenge, taking the mans spine. I didn’t enhance the mans figure. All the details were naturally there in the grain.	Manual Deception This one looks like a totem pole. The half bird half man is a representation of nature. In his wings are two men’s faces looking the other way. Which I feel is the unfortunate reality of how humans have destroyed nature for profit. No problem turning the other cheek. The bird has a mans legs because man is doing the walking & destroying. The legs were naturally there I didn’t add details. Above the bird is an Native American crying mourning the loss of the land.
Bearing Your Soul In this one I see a bird person. Wearing interesting attire and elaborate wings. Using its hands to literally open up to reveal a soul emerging. Growing magically. Finally coming to the surface with no fear. Representing self discovery, strength and the power of truly finding yourself.	Elevation This is the first piece I completed in this wood series. It is a representation of getting in tune with your higher self and purpose. Seeing with your minds eye. Connected to her eye is a female form representing ones higher self. Stick With Me & Feel The Fire The dragon above is burning the turtle with fire. The woman is trying to stop him with her mind. Which is as strong as fire. This can represent many things. Such as using your mind to fight negative thoughts. Finding the way to that peacefully. Sometimes you need to hide in your shell from the negativity.
